i just thought id post up a like to my last comments as pumpkinseed here.

Strength and Humility ??

its not really humility if youve got your nipnips on show. Inappropreate choice of title. Also this is average at best. Deviant art seems to be coated with the tatty unoriginal wank fodder of this type of "arty" photography.

Dont get me wrong, im not a good photographer. But i have eyes, working ones, and ive seen this shot with 1000 different girls byt 100s of other below avaerag photographers.

I know it may seem harsh, maybe its because thats what i intend it to be. But i just fed up with the same old same old. People posting up an image of an almost nakid body, doing a shadowy pose and looking moody. A pickture thats always pawed over by spotty dateless loosers desperate for a shag but with no idea what a real woman is like. Take your first responce. Its all about how good looking the girl is. No comment on photographic skill or image quality.

You could say that you are not to blame for the seixst morons of the world or at least deviantart, but you must be aware that the nude ladys bring the slobbering boys and the boys are the main reason that people post up the pictures ofthe nude ladys.

Theres no creative ideas or style anymore. This is nothing ive not seen in fhm or some bad lifestyle magazine.

10 steps to a fitter body or such.

I just crave for something challenging , origninal or completely and utterly mindblowing. An image to change how people look at the world , if only a bit of it , if only for a moment.

Or just something that redefines the classic female photo.

This really isnt just directed at you i suppose, but everyone who posts female / female nudes here... or pictures of two girls who might just be about to kiss..... like... coor , lesbians. *snigger snigger*

But your picture is the one that ive seen here today, and it is the one that ive found least interesting ... although ironically so... I would like to see if this reply creates any sort of eather change in style , oir just some thoughtful debate.

Sat Apr 25, 2009, 10:59 PM
Ok, this is a message for anyone whome would be interested. Not that there will be many people , im not a big item here i know. lol.

anyway , Im starting a new fresh account here on deviantart. "what again!" I hear you cry.

yes again.

But this is more a streamlineing of my activitys on the internet . Im currently on more websites then i care to count and ive always let my obsessive ways take over. I collect loads of art in my faves gallery , of any type. I never get any work done and all the sites im part of suffer as im too buisy with all of them to update any of them.

Ill be cutting back the number of people i watch and the types of artist i watch too. If you are watched by me now and dont get watched by my new account dont be too offended.

Im watching the works only of people who work in the area i really am interested in or influanced by.

Or just people I really like. ;D .

Ill post up details of my new account here with time should anyone show any interest. thanks for everything.

Im going to be sifting through all my old scraps tomorrow morning. clearing space and starting fresh with a lot of my characters. many will probably vanish totally though.

If anyone should be interested in my disorganised past look at

:icondeadmrhead:

:icondeadrevolutionary:

which will be fun.

also im looking about for a new scanner. My old ones not orking anymore , hence the lack of anything from me. I dont know why but i just need to be able to work on paper if im going to work at all.
I cant just pick up a tablet or mouse and sketch.
not yet anyway.

Once ive got a new scanner i shall post up some works. Im planning on doing some new sketches of the few characters that do make it past tomorrows slaughter.

.....

So I've been looking at others arts , photos, and in some cases , perfect everythings... and felt like , well whats the point. I was at college for 5 years studiying art and it got me nothing.

I learnt nothing that helps me with the type of art i want to do, and i have no money for the type of equipment i need to take advantage of what i can do well.

which isnt really much.

(oh , woe)

Time seems to ever speed up and im being left behind in the path of the tornado.
I have a million ideas , but i cant make them real. I see an image in my head and cant show it too the world. I cant even seem to make it as a writer.
Spelling problems dont help..lol

But I dont want to just give up. Im just finding it hard to see what it is i can do and bring to the world. I have made a choice though. crossed the line in the sand. I want to be the best i can. Im going to continue with my art.

First step, save some cash (or sell some stuff) and get 1.a new scanner 2. a graphics tablet and 3. a new digicam. (also upgrade my pc is also up there...)

so Feel free to look at my account here, and [link] / [link] and tell me if theres something there that you like and would like to buy the original copy off, then ill sell it too you if i still have it. for any price you like. As long as you cover the p+p and that its not a completely stupid price , like 50p. It'd at least have to be £2.00

Note me on here if your interested. meanwhile. new arts await..... after a nap. Ive got a headache.

where did disney go wrong

Thu Jan 1, 2009, 2:40 AM
I seem to remember a time, not so long ago, although it seems like ages now, that a Disney movie was an even to behold.
Not just in the viewing, but in the build up, the press around it, the toys, posters, TV shows surrounding the run up to it.
It was something to look forward to, to get excited about.

In the advent of 3d arts, much like in the video game world, the art of the 2d or cartoon movie was lost.

Which, when you think about it is mad. Since 3d graphics have become more widely used they have become better through the years. Computers have become more flexible, and tools more user friendly. But why didn’t this happen with 2d art. For a short time it did. The lion king used computers, both to add some 3d effects to the 2d art, but also to make some improvements on the 2d work itself. And that’s clear and simple sense.

Now this isn’t a rant about the ills of the computer and how 3d movies have ruined things for traditional 2d animation. I think 3d has its place. But the problem is that we as consumers and even we artists have grown used to the animated movie being 3d.

But it’s more then 3d movies shitting on 2d. Disney lost its way a long time ago.
The last movie most of you will really think of as a "big Disney release" would be the lion king. Sure mulan was one of the last good quality Disney movies, but it didn’t have that air of something special that the lion king had. Over the years the Disney 2d movie became watered down and muted. None of the spectacle was there, not in the film itself or the press and events surrounding it.

Even Disney’s notable fiddles in 3d were less then special (Chicken Little).

Would it have been so hard to keep it going? Now Disney and its name is best known for the high school musical TV movies. Low quality, badly acted, poorly scripted nothing. And if it had just been a TV movie it wouldn’t have been so bad, but 2 sequels and some shoddy look alkies (Disney’s own camp rock or ITV's fame school...or whatever its called.... what its really bad!...) The once great company is just pimping for the money and no longer for the love , so to speak.

I work in retail, it’s not what I do but it’s where my money comes from, and I see a couple of magazines sold under the Disney name. One is called Disney presents. It’s had 8 issues up to this point. 1 and only 1 wasn’t a live action TV movie, and that was wall.e. , not even a Disney film... It’s almost as if Disney as forgotten its whole history. A magazine that could be used to tell new fans what the last 60 years were like for the company. The shorts and animated movies... even the bad ones... could all be touched upon.

Where did the company loose its way. It could easily find it again.
Studio ghibli is still making grand and wonderful 2d animations today. And not just poor quality direct to DVD fodder either. Well animated, creative, well acted works of art. I remember Disney used to be able to do that. Not anymore.

It’s a shame; I miss the big release magic of the good days. Maybe if we close our eyes and wish really hard the classic Disney will be born again. After all, when you wish upon a star.
